A SURPRISE VISITOR

Grayson's mom surprised us by stopping by with their pet bunny, JoJo. 

 We are waiting with our eyes closed for our surprise.  Wonder what it will be?

READ TO SOMEONE

Here we  are "reading to someone".  This is a component of our Daily 5 program. 

LOOK WHAT WE FOUND AT RECESS!

After using the internet to research, we discovered this a Luna Moth Caterpillar.  We decided to make a habitat and keep the caterpillar in hopes of watching the transition to moth.  

 Here is Luna's habitat.  That night Luna wrapped up in a leaf.  In our research we learned that it takes about 3 weeks for this metamorphous to take place.  We are counting down the days.  

Pirate Day

 We celebrated Pirate Day with a special community helper.  Mrs. Hall came to read to our class and talk about her job with the post office.  We wrote our parents a letter and put it in her mail bag.  

After we read 'We Went Walking', we went on a tour of our school.
